United Airlines – Flyer Friendly

Yup, United has resurrected the “Fly the Friendly Skies” tagline, 2013 style, and built a whole ad campaign around the word “friendly”, giving a whole new meaning to it. United Airlines portrays itself as a “flyer-friendly”, “Wi-Fi friendly”, “build-around-you-friendly”… you get the idea. And it’s a great idea if you ask me. When I heard the “Fly the Friendly Skies” tagline was brought back, I was excited. I got even more excited when I saw that the word “friendly” was used to portray not smiling flight attendants and courteous service, but amenities and comforts. Yeah. I guess that’s “friendly” too! And what would a United Airlines ad be without “Rhapsody in Blue”?
