Guess The Airline – July 2000 answer

Every month, an airline printed advertisement, minus airline name and logo, is displayed for your guessing pleasure on Guess The Airline. The following is the answer to a previous game.

Many people guessed it right this month, but the answers were as varied as Continental Airlines, Martinair, United Airlines and Finnair. This advertisement was taken from a mid-1990s issue of Frequent Flyer, the monthly magazine for OAG Flight Guides subscribers.

Continental Airlines advertisement titled: 'Earn miles', from the 1990s, showing several everyday tasks that can earn miles.

How to guess it?

Thanks to J. for giving out the clues to guess the mystery airline. It was Continental Airlines, of course. First of all, America West Airlines is listed on the ad’s border, and AWA is a OnePass partner. Secondly, 1-800-525-0208 is a Continental Airlines number. And lastly, the most obvious clue is the colors used: blue background and yellow writing, just like on the timetables and websites… and of course, other advertisements.
