Guess The Airline – November 2000 answer

Every month, an airline printed advertisement, minus airline name and logo, is displayed for your guessing pleasure on Guess The Airline. The following is the answer to a previous game.

Many people Guessed The Airline correctly this time. After all, purposely, this game was a whole lot easier! Still, there were a few wrong answers. This advertisement was taken from a late 1980s issue of Condé Nast Traveller. Ready? Scroll down!

Lufthansa advertisement titled: 'Smooth sailing to 84 countries around the world', from the 1980s, showing a Boeing 747 flying at dawn.

How to guess it?

The major clue was the font used for the title, which is identical to the one the airline uses on its planes, stationary… almost everything, but most importantly: its logo. Clear enough? A minor clue is the partners for this airline’s frequent flyer program: United, Delta, USAir and Continental/Eastern. So, the answer is finally: Lufthansa!
