Guess The Airline – October 2002 answer

Every month, an airline printed advertisement, minus airline name and logo, is displayed for your guessing pleasure on Guess The Airline. The following is the answer to a previous game.

Once again, my apologies for updating late. This Guess The Airline recorded a very high good answers rate. Some people were very assertive when submitting answers… however they realized later they were wrong! The following is a magazine ad featured in this airline’s inflight magazine, in a late 1990s issue. Ready? Scroll down!

Frontier Airlines advertisement titled: 'Frontier Means Business', from the 1990s, featuring a route map and a Boeing 737 aircraft.

How to guess it?

This was a relatively easy game. Most people guessed by using ALL of the actual clues: the slogan (“Always affordable”), the approximate location of this airline’s hub on the pixelized map, the 737 fleet, and of course, the toll-free number which was so easy to dial if you live in North America. Many people submitted Continental Airlines because the OnePass program was mentioned in this advertisement.

Statistics

Correct answers: 87% | Wrong answers: 13% | Most submitted wrong answer: Continental (4%) | Other answers submitted: AirTran, America West, JetBlue, Southwest, U.S. Airlines (sic).
